CAD-CAM system
CAD-CAM is an acronym for “Computer Aided Design – Computer Aided Manufacturing”. CAD-CAM is applied in dentistry to help and make it easier for dentists and dental technicians to produce fine dental prosthetic appliances: inlays, onlays, crowns, facets and bridges. In comparison to the traditional dental prosthetic appliances method of production, CAD-CAM system application provides comfort for patients during treatment, as well as very finely manufactured single and multi-part dental prostheses with a simplified procedure. What only recently used to take days and multiple dentist visits is now done within a single day.
